Step 3: Edit the Music   

This is the really fun part. Using a program like MP3 Audio Mixer, you can do many things to your music (there are other programs that will do these tasks, but I’m most familiar with MP3 Mixer. I’ll be using it in all of the examples.)

Before you take hand to mouse, it’s a good idea to have a rough “sketch” of the songs, with the end goal in mind.

Here's an example:

Song     Time     Effect
FRED                 Start at the beginning
                1:10     Cut out next verse & chorus
                1:55     Cut in
                2:12     regular ending. 1 second pause
GINGER
                :50         Hard cut into this point
                1:20      10 second fade
