Senior Youth
[view feedback blog]
For youth in years 9 -12 at school, this is where the foundational learning in the Junior Youth program LITE4 is put to the test in the real world. Youth are encouraged to "spread their wings", and through many outings, experiences, discussions, and fun!, are challenged to soar above problems, and even face them head on, like eagles.
Again, we want to encourage every parent of a young person in this age bracket to be actively involved in helping their child and the children of others to become the mature adults God wants them to be. We encourage groups of parents to come together and lead their senior teenagers by example, and invest in them their life experiences.
Suggested meeting times are Saturday afternoons and evenings in school terms, with holiday periods lending themselves to exciting surprises and activities!
The curriculum can be based around the booklet "Building a better life: a pocket-guide for Christian living". Since this booklet has 40 pages, and there are 40 weeks in a school term year, it is practical to cover one page per week in an exciting and relevant fashion.
As with LITE4, the same general curriculum can be followed each year, with different levels of responsibility given to the youth as they progress.
