With every end there is a new beginning...by Hope

This is a finished story.
Theme Song

This was one of the hardest stories I had to name. I thought about a title while writing the story, then while reading it over again, and then again when I was putting it into HTML format, but throughout all of that I couldn't come up with anything. I noticed one thing, however, while reading the story: the subject of a new day, birth, and starting over came up quite often, as did the phrase "In the morning" (a whopping 35 times. I counted.) After 11 failed titles, that phrase just clicked and here we are. It captures one motif I was trying to emulate in this story--with every end there is a new beginning.

This is a Taylor story, which is a first when it comes to my Log series, and is my first Taylor story since Blue Envy. It's in first person from his point of view; the only full Taylor story where that's ever happened. In this one Zac and Ginger are on the back burner while we look through Taylor's eyes at how their (Zac and Ginger, I mean) relationship unfolds, and how he meets Kris for the first time. I have to admit I really don't like how, although it is a Taylor and Kris story, Zac and/or Ginger are always around, but they are the stars of the series, so they couldn't go away completely.

We start in the morning on a late February day in the Tulsa home. The boys are working diligently on their new album, trying to get it finished and out to their fans. Isaac has just moved out of the house and an almost twenty-year-old Taylor is starting to follow in his footsteps. Zac has been sneaking out every day for the past week to see someone (oh, gee, I wonder who), and the story starts with Taylor in bed with one of many, many ladies. Enjoy!

Epilogue

On a whim I decided to write a short story about something that happened in the epilogue. Don't read it unless you've finished the story! It's called Leo and you can read it here. Enjoy!
