There are many animals that live on the plains of North America. From the mighty buffalo, to the fearsome wolf, there is no shortage of species. The plains can be a hard environment to live in, so any animal living there must be well equipped to survive in this harsh climate. Animals that live on the North American plains include the mighty Buffalo, the wild horses of the rockies, an abundance of small animals, including the snow hare, hedgehog, and badger. The wolf, cougar, bobcat, and the Grizzly bear are some of the animals that roam this last frontier.
The plains of North America take up most of the northern part of the united states, and continue into Canada. The plains are made up of more than just thousands of acres of flat land. There is also woods in these plains, mountains, hotsprings, and caves. This accounts for all the animals that can survive here.
The mountains hold some of the most beautiful animals out there. Mountains are on every single continent, providing a suitable habitat for thousands of species. Mountains provide shelters by having plenty of trees for deer to down in, and caves for bears to sleep in. Burrows are easily dug into the mountainside. Wolves, cougars, bears, deers, skunks, mountain goats, siberian tigers, and snow leopards are just a few of the animals that make the majestic mountains their home.
The savanah is a place in asia where the rainy and dry season are the only seasons. Lots of the big animals many people are fascinated with live on the savanah, including the lion, african elephant, the plains zebra, and the giraffe. The savanah provides plenty of food for carnivores, such as the leopard, and the wide expanse of savanah grassland provides many grazing animals with a ample food supply also. And although water is sometimes hard to come by, the animals usually always manage to find the watering holes.
