The Eloquence of Pictures
Reflections in a journal are made more meaningful with sketches of the locations visited. By 1839, it became possible for Mr. Gallatin to preserve significant memories with Daguerreotypes. With the advancements in photographic techniques, Mr. Gallatin is now able to share his memories in photography and "moving pictures".
Mr. Gallatin has visited many places and is happy to share the images he has captured while traveling. He hopes you enjoy the following illustrations. Above, Mr. Gallatin shares the photograph he took of the Gallatin River flowing into the Missouri River during his trip to Boseman, Montana.
The entries on this page reflect only a portion of Mr. Gallatin's endeavors at this time, and the collection will gradually expand with his continued activities. If an entry pertains to an excerpt from Mr. Gallatin's journal that is added later, it will be added to that excerpt when he releases it to the public.
