| Beginning the Journey seeks to expose the effects of hate and to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for human diversity through a selection of educational workshops and presentations. "Beginning the Journey To a Hate Free Tomorrow" Participants will view New Light Media's award-winning documentary "Journey to a Hate Free Millennium." *Appropriate for most audiences "Peanuts About Empowerment" New 02/25/03 More information to come. "At the Table": Young People Talk about Diversity Participants will view Southern Poverty Law Center's award-winning documentary "A Place at the Table: American Dreams." *Appropriate for most audiences - "Diversity in Business": Build and Benefit from a Diverse Workforce - New 06/13/02! Participants will see how tolerance and intolerance can drastically affect productivity in the business realm, and how diversity can be capitalized to create an energized, effective, and dynamic workforce. *Appropriate for businesses and staff in-services. "Where the Heart Is": Homelessness and Poverty in America New 03/25/03 Participants stereotypes about socio-economic class are challenged and the common humanity of all people regardless of income is brought to the forefront. "Starting Small": Educating our Children about Diversity (Participants view the award winning documentary Starting Small.) *Appropriate for Early Childhood Educators and Social Workers. "In The The Shadow" - The History of Hate Participants will view Southern Poverty Law Center's award-winning documentary "The Shadow of Hate." *Appropriate for select audiences "America's Civil Rights Movement" (Southern Poverty Law Center's award-winning documentary) Elementary Presentation - Coming soon! Beginning the Journey is currently developing workshop material for elementary age children. If your children's group or elementary school is interested in being notified when this is developed, email Beginning the Journey.
