| WHAT ELSE IS BEGINNING THE JOURNEY UP TO NOW?? Beginning the Journey is on the verge of filing our "Articles of Incorporation" and the "non-profit" 501(c)(3) status paperwork that is required by the IRS. It is essential that we obtain a designation as a "charitable, non-profit" organization to make your gifts to Beginning the Journey tax-deductable and so that we may offer educational workshops to schools, communities, businesses, and civic groups at the lowest cost possible to these host agencies. The paperwork required of a start-up non-profit is at times overwhelming, but we continue to work at it, as we also continue to do the real work we desire to do -- educating people about the effects of hate and the value of diversity.
