Bolton Wanderers hitman Raul has admitted that hes been impressed by the club since joining from Manchester United on a free last month. The Spanish striker, who has had stints at Watford, West Ham United and at Old Trafford, told Sky Sports News that he was very happy with the progress the club was making in D2. The former Real Madrid man admits he has been impressed by manager Frank Rijkaard and the facilities on offer at the club. Raul has also denied rumours that he and Rijkaard don't see eye to eye, what with the Dutchman having links with Barcelona.
The latest addition at Bolton Wanderers, midfielder Jermaine Pennant, is dreaming of a return to D1 and is confident that he can help steer the club back into the top tier. The former Blackburn Rovers star, who quit Ewood Park to join The Trotters in a 5,000,000 deal says confidence is high around The Reebok Stadium. Pennant has made an impressive start to life at his new club, including a debut goal in the 5-0 mauling of Southampton back in January. Bolton sit third in the table behind Manchester United and Arsenal and have only lost once in S7, to local rivals Manchester City. Pennant, speaking to the GI Times, believes the club are more than capable of securing promotion back to D1 this season. |
