GRAD 68
BLOOPERS:

.) In the opening scene, watch Lacey's hair and her right shoulder. For the most part, her hair is behind her shoulder, but does make occasional leaps forward (which don't fit the time elapsed between shots), especially around the time when Brent makes a cross with his fingers to explain his vampire remark.

.) In the first scene after the opening credits, a similar hair blooper takes place over Lacey's left (viewer's right) shoulder, where hair goes from over the front of her shoulder to pulled noticeably behind it, despite it being clear that her head doesn't move when the angle is on Wanda.

.) Still more hair bloopers are evident between the time when Lacey sits down (1:47) and when Wanda points out that the sitcom "Wings" was "the 'Dharma and Greg' of its day." The most obvious examples: assume you count Lacey sitting down as the first shot of her in this sequence. In that case, the second (when she asks "What else could I be talking about?") and fourth shots have her hair over her right shoulder (viewer's left) looking the same, while the first and third are completely different.

.) In the scene in the police station where Karen is discussing the Grad '68 article (starting at 2:31), watch the house of cards that Davis is building. From scene to scene it experiences noticeably different stages of construction, at some points actually moving backwards in time.

.) At 6:28, Davis comes out of the bathroom and tells Brent how good the bathroom smells. In a second-season episode we learn that Davis lost his sense of smell when he was a child.

.) Look at Hank's white hood attachment to his jacket, specifically his left side (right to the viewer) when Karen is talking about how inspirational the "Grad 68" article is (8:37). A fraction of a second later, when Hank asks why everyone has to dredge up the past, that white part of his jacket is higher than it just was - not like a foot higher or anything, but too high to be explained away by a simple shrug of the shoulder.

.) Just after Wanda goes off to "christen" the bathroom, Lacey walks in (15:39). She leans over the counter and puts her right hand under her chin. The next shot of her has her hand down, the third has it back up again and the fourth shows it down. The time frames, particularly between the third and fourth shots of Lacey (when Wanda begins to say "That bathroom is disgusting") don't give her enough time to put her arm down.

.) When Davis and Karen are up on top of the water tower, the red "Grad 68" paint looks nothing like it did from a distance - not in shape or handwriting of the paint. Judging by the scene where Karen and Davis are stopping traffic and looking at the tower, (or judging by Karen's photos of the tower, the shape of the top of the tower), particularly the lack of a flat surface on top, it's in no way suitable for people to be standing on top if it holding others up anyway.

.) Also, the tower is metallic in color when Davis and Karen are on top of it. The shot of the tower when those two were stopping traffic showed it to be snow white.

.) In every scene showing anyone spray painting the tower, there is no paint coming out of the can - just a painting motion accompanied by a spraying sound.

.) On top of the water tower, the way the painters (first Brent, then Hank) were being held in place during the flashbacks doesn't seem likely to be effective in stopping them from falling - especially when Emma is signaling Davis with the flashlight.

.) At the very end of the episode, an issue of the Dog River Howler is shown with the date "Saturday, July 12, 2003." This is the same date used in two different issues of the paper in the
first episode of the series, and was also the date of the 17th annual Dog River talent show in the episode "Cousin Carl."
