What they say about us...

Thu, 26 May 2005

Hi Don, I would like to join the Rotary movement through the eClub. I am working overseas (saudi Arabia) and just wondering if I could join. If I am allowed to join, how can I send the charter and joining fees?

Let me know.

"Establishing Rotary eClubONE3780 remains to be our cherished goal"

- CDG George L. Howard

In a meeting between CP Don and Centennial District Gov. George L. Howard, held at the Howard law office, Suite 3202 Antel Plaza, Ortigas  Center, Pasig City last July 28, CDG George said that the establishment of Rotary eClubONE3780 remains to be our goal.

In a letter dated June 30, CDG George endorsed Rotary eClubONE3780's Application for a new Club documents, which were submitted to RI Regional Office for filing and reference. In that letter, CDG George expressed our desire to be the first to be considered should RI lift its suspension for eClub applications. The charter members, however, will have to pay charter fees anew should that eventuality arise, CDG George said.

Charter members should continue to conduct the club's business in the internet

CP Don explained to CDG George that the sudden shift from eClub to a regular club posed a problem on how charter members can attend weekly physical meetings regularly. The profile of eClub recruits were tailored after having internet meetings, and most joined because that's the only way they can participate in Rotary.

CDG George suggested that charter members could continue doing club business through the internet. He further suggested that we can elect a date and time where we can log on together and chat about club matters.

Recruitment of new members should now center on residents of Bgy. Masambong and neighboring subdivisions

To directly confront the problem, CP Don explained that the club's thrust in recruiting new members now centers on inviting businessmen and community leaders who are either residing in Bgy. Masambong and its neighboring subdivisions, or who are conducting their businesses in the nearby offices and commercial establishments.

The over-all strategy is to organize and develop the club as a truly barangay-based organization, so that the charter members can opt to leave and form the eClub should RI allow us to do so in the future.

Connect First Before Calling

Calling is absolutely critical if you want to influence people in a positive way. You have to find out where they are, move toward them to make contact, and connect with them. If you can  do that successfully, you can take them to new heights in your  relationship and in their development."
