The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?

  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

R.E.S.C.U.E. 1 brochure

now available

Our R.E.S.C.U.E. 1 project brochure is now available to make it easier for other people to become interested in, participate and support our club's community outreach programs in Bgy. Masambong.

CDG George L. Howard encouraged all Centennial club presidents to design and submit the corresponding brochures for their clubs' signature projects before their terms will be over.

While our original signature project as an eClub was the Rota-CLOWNs (Rotary Clinic on Wheels), we did not submit the project brochure as required pending approval of our charter. With the shift that our club has undergone from an eClub to a regular club, we have Bgy. Masambong as our assigned barangay. We have adopted the "focused community development approach" in serving the needs of the community.

Initial fact-finding and consultative meetings with barangay officials and community leaders had identified the barangay's concerns and guided us on what intervention programs to introduce in the area. We have immediately incorporated the in-puts into our three-year plan, and designed club projects accordingly.

R.E.S.C.U.E. 1 at the forefront with RCC at the core of community organizing

We have designed our R.E.S.C.U.E. programs as our response mechanisms to the community's needs. Both are anchored on the principle of uniting the community and enabling them to have the capability to directly participate in addressing their own concerns. Rotarians would then contribute additional material support to help them slowly achieve self-reliance and empowerment.

With the coming rainy season and the anticipated typhoons that will visit Metro Manila, we will introduce and carry out R.E.S.C.U.E. 1, or Rotary's Emergency Support to the Community's United Efforts. We anticipate relief operations to be conducted heavily in Bgy. Masambong during the height of the rainy season.

R.E.S.C.U.E. 1 will serve as the framework of all our interventions in the community. The formation of RCCs in the depressed communities, however, will serve as the core of all our organizing efforts in the barangay.

Give Them Themselves

Team members always love and admire a person who is able to help them go to another level, someone who enlarges them and empowers them to be successful. Players who enlarge their team mates have several things in common.
