US EPA EDSTAC, OVERVIEW
(Reference 1, Report to DCSB) Endocrine Disrupter Screening and Testing Advisory Committee. |
|
G.C. Jeffrey Macro View from combining papers from
various medical and governmental budget researchers: Primary Endocrine Disrupters, e.g. Dioxin, etc......cause: At very low levels cause suppression of Liver P450 detox enzymes which then leads to a build up of toxic chemicals which do further damage.....which causes: An avalanche of bad health results in chronic degenerative diseases.....resulting in: Chronic Degenerative Diseases: "Cognitive Deficits" "Behavioral Problems-Learning Disabilities" "Diabetes" "Porphyria" "Cancer" "Neurological Effects" (e.g. ALS symptoms) (This avalanche is even worse if exposed to brucilli or other chronic infectious agents.) While certain groups are avoiding the connection between chemicals other endocrine disruptors and chronic conditions, ....... the US Govt. is spending $100 million for endocrine disruption testing and the Chemical Manufacturers Association members realize they will spend an additional $1 billion in testing. |

Endocrine Disruptors Screening and Testing Advisory
Committee A Public Interest Group's View of EDSTAC Commonweal http://www.commonweal.org/EDSTAC.html EDSTAC is the bureaucratic process by which the Environmental Protection Agency is deciding how to screen and test new and existing chemicals for their potential to disrupt the endocrine systems of human beings and other species. Basically, there is an explosive development in science of evidence that some manmade chemicals can have powerful effects on human intelligence, temperament, fertility and health when the developing fetus is exposed to them. Even more troubling is that these effects can take place at exposure levels orders of magnitude lower than those at which some of these chemicals cause cancer in a single generation. EDSTAC is the acronym for the Endocrine Disruptors Screening and Testing Advisory Committee. For more than a year, Commonweal Senior Associate Davis Baltz has been providing support for the public outreach effort that EDSTAC has made to involve a cross-section of the American people with the opportunity to voice their concerns on the critical policy issue of how the EPA will screen and test chemicals for their effects on human and wildlife health. The reports linked on Commonweal's Internet page describe the meetings that EDSTAC has held across the country at which Commonweal helped bring citizens to the table to testify about their concerns. For more information on Commonweal's work with EDSTAC, please contact Davis Baltz at his E-mail: [email protected] George C. Jeffrey BS ChE P.O. Citizens Reaction Against Pollution was started by John Austin to track military related toxins, civilian toxins and health effects. This organization is working to eliminate toxins and encourage the chemically poisoned to find toxicologists, endocrinologists and coordinate with other chemically poisoned people. This organization is referenced in the poison control center reference book "Chemical Exposure and Human Health" by Cynthia Wilson, page 259. http://ciin.org/ Click on Book ED Briefing Book Main Pages: | Endocrine Disruption Briefing Book | | Attachment List, ED Briefing Book | Attachment Pages: | ADD/ADHD | | Children-Developmental Damage | | Symptoms, Physical-Cognitive | | Diabetes | | Porphyria-LiverSpots | | Porphyria-Suppressed Detox | | Thyroid Disruptions Affidavit | | Cancer, et al | | Cancer, et al | | Bethune School Dioxin | | Whitehouse School Scandal | | Belgium Govt. * General Note: Dioxin causes expensive disabilities like ADD/ADHD, diabetes and cancer.
Eliminate endocrine disruptors like dioxin and save $4,000/year/household on unnecessarily
high Medicare and private medical insurance, disability taxes and extra income taxes to make up
for taxes not paid by unnecessarily disabled people.
