May 2006 Annual report of Project "5 loaves and 2 fish" including financial report
Project "5 loaves and 2 fish" is we pray connecting the church with plenty to the church in need. The vision is similar to that in 2 Cor. 8:13-15 where Paul is writing to the church in Corinth regarding relief and support for the church in Jerusalem. In this particular passage Paul writes "--I am not trying to put a burden on you, but since you have plenty at this time, it is only fair you should help those in need. Then when you are in need and they have plenty they will help you. In this way both are treated equally as the scripture says, "the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." Ex. 16:17-18.

In October $ 400 US was sent to help with the recovery of the people of Panabaj after Hurricane Stan . Apr. 30, 2006 I received a report from brother Abraham, and he reported that the money was received with great joy by the elders and was used in the emergency program of the church which attended to 800 persons damaged by hurricane Stan. For 25 days they gave them basic foods and accomodation in the church building. The money was put with other funds to aid in the recovery effort of the church. This went to purchase foods and construction materials for small temporary houses

The aid of construction materials and food was put on hold this year due to problems and conflicts in the main recipient "Montana de la Flor". There were problems with the distribution of the food. April. 2006 Paul wrote saying that he valued our partnership. At the present time, a church form New Mexico has been helping with food and the store is being restocked again. The food is sold and the money used to restalk the store without profits. Corn and rice and sewing machines have been taken in ithe last few months. Housing has been stagnating for a .number of reasons and it is hoped that bringing food in to give them for their work will solve the housing construction problem . Some medical needs are being attended to and the Good News cointinues to be preached.
