May 2002 Annual report of Project 5 loaves and 2 fish including financial report
Project "5 loaves and 2 fish" is we pray connecting the church with plenty to the church in need. The vision is similar to that in 2 Cor. 8:13-15 where Paul is writing to the church in Corinth regarding relief and support for the church in Jerusalem. In this particular passage Paul writes "--I am not trying to put a burden on you, but since you have plenty at this time, it is only fair you should help those in need. Then when you are in need and they have plenty they will help you. In this way both are treated equally as the scripture says, "the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." Ex. 16:17-18.

Report of Paul Cross (Central American Missionary) for Honduran churches

Tolpan native children in Montana de la Flor.
|
6% of children are suffering acute malnutrition as a result of last years drought. This project has received $ 450 U.S. and $ 200 have been reported. 2000lbs of corn and 400 lbs beans, and some food baskets has been distributed to the churches of El Ocotal and Montana de la Flor. There was a drought at the beginning of the growing season, however the 2nd crop was more successful in El Ocotal. The chicken manure taken in last year had produced much higher and greener corn and Paul wishes to take in more this year in the dry season. The churches were grateful for the help as well as Paul. Paul reports that in El Ocotal the brothers were visiting their enemies that had been a source of persecution and seed sown is taking root --- Praise the LORD!

Shortly after receiving the help the they dispersed leaving 2 persons that did not want any help from the church. There has not been a report on what happened to the tiny houses, stove, and $150 U.S.
