 The game Final Fantasy XI sometimes refered to as Final Fantasy XI Online is actually, YES YOU'VE GUESSED IT!!! Online... This means that you cannot play it offline (when not connected to the internet the game will NOT work at all)

 Final Fantasy XI is only avaliable for either the PC of the Playstation 2 but may be coming out for other formats. All formats that will have this game will use the same servers. (This means that someone using a PS2 will be able to see people who are playing Final Fantasy XI on the PC).

 Final Fantasy XI will probobly NEVER end as long as it recieves updates from SQUARE ENIX. Vision of Ziraat is the first of these updates.

 The game will run online 24 hours a day 7 days a week, every week of the year for as long as the game remains profitable... (probobly forever, lol)

 The gamers of the world who buy the game and log onto the world of Vana'Diel are the players who you will see on your adventures so be friendly to the other gmes and show them how good you really are.

 You CANNOT play Final Fantasy XI when not connected to the internet so dont even bother trying it. Remember that its an ONLINE game and so can't be played offline of ANY reason

 You have to pay a monthy fee to play.

 You CANNOT kill other player characters in the game. This may change if an update is release that allows player killing.

 You WILL make friends, allies and enemies.

 People from different nations from all different places in the world (Earth, our planet not Vana'Diel) will be able to communicate to an extent by the use of little emotive pictures... if you do not speak (type) the same language. (hell, its better than trying to talk to somebody who does not know your language isnt it!)

 There is a job system in Final Fantasy XI much like the job systems seen in Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy VI. (If you havent played FFT I dont blame ya... It wasnt released in the Europe...).

 Moderators hired by SQUARE ENIX will take shape in the form of Moogles who will enforce order in the world of Vana'Diel. If you are cought breaking any sort of rule or 'Law' you may be diciplined. These 'Game Maters' will have the best equipment avaliable and will rarely be seen talking to anybody.

 When you start a new game of Final Fantasy XI you will automatically be allocated a world/server to play on that you cannot change. This was done to stop server over-population. The only way of getting the server that you want is to keep restarting your game until you are on the server that you want or to create another character.

 The second character that is created on Final Fantasy XI is able to be placed on the server of your choice, (which is a very good thing). Any extra characters that are created cost an extra 50p every month.
