"Yes, Master?"
"I must ask you about Sarah." he said with a great deal of mastery. "She was very upset today when I spoke with her."
"I don't care." Obi-Wan replied with a lot of attitude.
"Young Padawan, she feels terrible about upsetting you. She never meant to hurt you. She.."
"I don't care." he replied again with equally as much contempt. He realized his mistake quickly. "I'm sorry for interrupting you, master."
"It appears as though she never got your messages, Obi-Wan, and your reprimanding earlier this afternoon was unprovoked. How you dealt with it was very harsh, young Padawan. I do, however, respect your right to your opinion, and I only wish to present you with her side of the story."
The respected figure turned and left his apprentice with his thoughts.
The day for Sarah's departure came painfully slow. Obi-Wan wouldn't even speak to her, and she missed everything about him. She missed the way he looked at her, she missed the way he touched her, and she missed the way he looked and felt when they were in eachother's company.
Qui-Gon, as well as several friends she had made during her visit were there to see her off, all of them except Obi-Wan. Heartbroken, she said her goodbyes, and sent a goodbye to Obi-Wan with Qui-Gon. She boarded the ship choking back her tears and was nearly sobbing at take-off. She never expected to see her beloved again.
When she returned to Earth, she recieved a hero's welcome. The press flocked to her like geese flying south, but she didn't feel like talking. She would never see him again, and because of that, she cared for nothing.
Jim was the first familiar face to find her.
"How was your trip?" he asked enthusiastically.
She just glared painfully at him.
"That bad, huh? Well, don't worry, as soon as we get you back from the doctor, you can resume your life where you left it," Jim stated, still grinning overly wide.
The physician was the same as had checked her before her departure. He did the usual, blood testing for viruses and whatnot, but something strange caught his eye while he was examining her.
"Well, Miss Sarah, You're all fine except..."
"Except what?" she responded with unexcited curiosity.
"You have two sets of heartbeats."
