Invitation to Ball

Rascal Ball 2002

Twenty Rascals and friends attended the Eighth Annual Rascal Ball which was held at the Chatham Village club house on February 16, 2002. Following is a report from an unknown writer:

"True to form we had a ball last night in literal and figurative sense. Twenty folks attended. Ron even purchased a pickup truck for the occasion! Folks were not quite as brilliantly colored as last year, but the Latin theme went over well. The advantage of Chatham village is that we could hire our favorite bartender, Vic Norman, who does not nickle and dime customers, unless they're late paying dues. Lee MC'ed and had each of us render an account of our contribution the year's activities. Ron was awarded the Landgraf medal, and thanks to fond memories of Grog, Archives, and Giant Sloths, the Rascal of the Year Award was passed on to him as well. Bob issued the mass challenge: by June, trace the last century of history of your house (or the property on which it stands) and report the interesting thing in five minutes. After dinner, four Latin dance instructors came and taught us to Merenge and Salsa."

Among those present at the Ball were:
