There had been talks of late about the foreclosure procedures being drafted by NSC's creditors, due to the lack of market. This predicament is in addition to the company's dire straits, the government's drive to lift the importation ban, as well as the on-going Asian crises.
The batch, those remaining with the company, 22 as of the latest count, might find themselves with the pink slips before the year is over.
The management committee, however, are working their best efforts in keeping the company on the blue. Talks with possible financiers, such as Ispat, have been on-going since early this year.

Last May, a fire gutted the most crucial equipment of the Co|d Mill. Restoration is on-going and projected date of re-commissioning is slated on the first week of September. A number of our batch mates are in the key positions in the restoration project.
So we'll gonna keep holding on to our esteemed jobs at NSC, and pray that although the grass is greenery over the fence, we would not jump to it on the first chance.
