I integrate technology into my teaching as much as possible. As technology is such an important part in the lives of students and teachers today, I believe that it is the job of the classroom teacher to use technology in many ways to help prepare students for their futures.

During my internship year, I created a classroom website for students and parents to keep them updated as to what was going on in the classroom. I now have a district sponsored website at: http://www.lc-ps.org/Schools/Graham/StaffWebPagesAF/ECloss. It contains resources for both parents and students. I update it on a weekly basis so that families have a list of all word wall words as they are added each week.

I created weekly classroom newsletters since the middle part of my internship year. It has allowed me to send home reminders for things such as field trips or any other special activities or events that were going on, as well as to et families know what their child is learning each week in the different subject areas. I also list some activities in which the families could do at home to help their child.

During my senior year, I participated in Reading Classroom Explorer through the College of Eduaction at Michigan State University.
