Hone Alias Wright

(Hester's baseborn son)
John Hone appears to have no criticism made towards him. It is Hester who is threatened with being whipped.
Widowed Hester Wright, whose husband Charles was buried 17090124, stated that on Lady Day 1714 she took a job at the Inn, where she was gotten with child by John Hone. She was delivered of the child on 30 January 1715, and baptised her baseborn son John the same day.

In adult life John's surname is listed as either Hone or Wright, often one alias the other name.

John Wright, 17150130 - 17801223, son of Hester, married 17341214 to Margaret Sharp (buried as Mary, 17750411) and baptised Elizabeth 17350518, John 17390218, Mary 17420523 lived 3 weeks, William 17430901 ( baptised son of John Hone, buried as son of John Hone alias Wright) lived 3 days, Mary 17441007 buried 17660502 alias Hone, William 17460921, buried Joseph 17471015 and baptised Joseph 17471022, Sarah 17490302 and James 17501024 lived 6 months.

John Wright 17390218, son of John, married 17700929 to Hannah Neal and baptised their first daughter Mary 17710304 as 'alias Hone'. The second Mary was baptised 17751004.
