HOW THE LENS WORKS

- First turn the power switch to off on the camera (see How to turn it on for directions).

To mount the lens:
-Position the lens in the camera's bayonet mount so that the mounting indexes on the lens and the camera body are aligned.
                        - The mounting index on the lens is a line near the base of the lens in between the word "Nikkor" and "28-80 mm."
  - On the camera body, the mounting index is a small circular raised circle and is located next to the film rewind button and above the lens release button (the large gray button that is on the right side of where the lens would normally go).
 - Turn the lens counter-clockwise until you feel the click that signals it has been locked into place.

To detach the lens:

                         - Push and hold the lens release button, which is the gray button located directly on the side of the lens (if you are looking into the lens, it is on the right side, beneath the mounting index on the camera body).
                         - As you hold the release button, turn the lens clockwise to detach the lens.
                         - *When the lens is detached from the camera body, always make sure to attach the supplied caps to the back of the camera lens and the the camera body for protection.
