A list of movies that feature glasses - for fetishists. A genre of its own in a way. Where's Kronenberg when you need him?
By the way, those of you who bother to watch the "Bonus Features" at the end of DVD's, you really do find some bonuses, it's not unusual to see some glasses appearing in interviews etc. Two I've enjoyed recently are:

If you watch the feature at the end with Palin and Jones giving a location tour, both don their specs.
Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban
Everyone loves the glasses in Harry Potter, this one of course has extra, but also do check out the Gary Oldman interview, and his ultra-cute rimless plusses.

If there's anyone left who hasn't heard about this, it is tailor-made for us, with the terminally cute Jude Law (left) wearing glasses and switching from contacts to glasses as a pertinent part of the story. So far the jury thinks they're props (plano) but you never know. The word on the steeet, oh, OK, on the net, in blogs and other editorials everywhere is that the fans just adore Jude in glasses and would like to see him in them more often. Tip: if you've never done this, try entering a celebrity of your choice plus the word glasses (or eyeglasses) into Google and see lots of blog comments, etc. There are far more of us than you might think.
Ninth Gate
If you're not familiar with this, just buy it. Johnny Depp, a self-confessed OO, wears glasses in about a third of his movies, including Dead Man, Nick of Time, and the new hit Secret Window. The fascinating device on my new front page is from Sleepy Hollow.
Paycheck is the first glasses movie for Ben Affleck, in his own minuses. May there be many more.

Mujeres al Borde de un Ataque de Nervios
(In Spanish, available with subtitles) This movie could have been made
by one of us girls, as it features a genuinely attractive man (Antonio
Banderas) playing a quiet-spoken bespectacled ROMANTIC LEAD**. Yes! How
often do we see that? The question remains whether these were real
specs or not - Banderas is known to wear reading glasses off-screen,
but that may be a recent development (he's 45) and this movie dates
back to 1988. Well, you decide. It's available from Amazon on DVD.
Banderas also wears glasses in Two Much and And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, plus the Spy Kids movies, 2 and 3, but of all these, for sheer hotness, it's definitely Spy Kids 2 that's not to be missed, see screenshots.

Fairly self-explanatory. Romantic cowboy flick.

Several really great close-ups of Sylvester Stallone in plus glasses. How he wears them actually makes no sense at all, but it's fun anyway.

Matthew McConaughey as a bespectacled romantic lead in The Wedding Planner. I'm sorry. I have no excuse. Now you see why I rely on your e-mails so much.
Boys and Girls has Freddy Prinze Jnr. I'll have to look out for this. He's not really on my A-list but I love the way he squints even with his glasses on!
