Those Fantastic Men in Glasses!

Has anyone noticed just how many top male stars that are pin-ups (i.e. hunks, c'mon we're being shallow here, never mind talent) wear glasses? It's an absurdly high percentage. Consider these pages! It's not who's there that counts, but who's missing. Not many huh? And we'll get them as they age anyway....How many male celebs aged 40+ need glasses for reading? Ha! Over 50, we've probably got them ALL. What a pity they don't all age too well.

Please be patient while I re-organize (and don't tell me about links that don't work yet, they will), it'll all be worth it!

SPECIAL AWARD:

Johnny Depp deserves special mention for his outrageous recent choice in 50's style glasses, which no-one else on the planet could get away with. Whether he's trying to dress down, just doesn't care, or knows that nothing he does will affect his popularity, the fact remains that it takes a bold celebrity of great stature to do this, and classical beauty to pull it off.

It has come to my attention that some Depp fans think he only wears glasses as an "image" thing. This isn't so.

1. Johnny has commented openly in interviews that he has "one bad eye", but obviously the other one isn't exactly "good", see 3.
2. He wore glasses in school.
3. He wears contact lenses when working. Two, not one.
4. His mother and brother wear glasses.

I have photographic evidence (covering all points)for those who still think his glasses are "fake" for whatever reason. Hey, I guess if some of us can be glasses fetishists, others can be in denial.

UPDATE: Since I first posted this Johnny has worn his glasses in public on enough occasions to convince even the most skeptical that he actually needs them. Or so I thought. Then a magazine published a pic of him with the caption "Glasses look better if they actually have lenses in". What do you do with these imbeciles?
