I've neglected it a bit this past week since setting up this website, but don't worry, I'll be back there shortly. If you've never visited before, you'll find downloads of lots of hot-looking Sims with glasses, some who resemble celebrities, and advice on how to add glasses to your existing favourite Sims.
If you haven't already discovered it, The Sims is a "playing God" type of PC game, where you control the lives of little cartoon people called Sims. Because Sims look very human it is possible to create one that looks like yourself and your dream partner. Then, with extra "expansion packs" added to the game, plus various free downloads, your Sims can get down and dirty. There are no limits to the gameplay anymore. You can play hardcore porn if you want to, or keep to a romantic cuddle on a garden swing. You're in control.
The original game by Maxis, entitled "The Sims" is about $30 and widely available. Add-ons vary in price but tend to be comparable. These are hereby listed (N.B. it is not necessary to buy them all), with their key points:
Livin' Large - more of what was in the original game, i.e. more "interactions", more career choices, more choice of furniture and house styles etc.
House Party - group activities, catering, dancing fancy dress costumes etc
Hot Date - this is the one we wanted! Romantic "interactions", including sheet-wrecking, plus a whole new "downtown" area with shops and restaurants
Vacation - now take your Sims to various resorts, and play games
Unleashed - pets, gardening, an new shopping area with a New Orleans theme
Superstar - your Sim can be a model, singer, or actor/acress, and make it big. Also includes a spa. Used in conjunction with Hot Date this is perfect for fantasies
Makin' Magic - Very much "Sims go Harry Potter" but allows you to cheat a bit by casting love spells.
Deluxe - outdated set that includes original The Sims game with Livin' Large. Mostly disappeared from shelves now.
Double deluxe - this set includes The Sims original game, plus Livin' Large and House Party. If you're brand new to the game this is a cheap way to start.
As an example of how much fun the game can be for us, here are two Sims of David from the "Jewels" story:
