Controversial Film to Open eKsperim[E]nt4
More films shipped to Puerto Princesa City for eKsperim[E]nto's Palawan Tour; Manny Montelibano's Films wowed audiences
Manila, Philippines (4/12/04) - Due to the overwhelming response of audiences attending the first night of the film screenings at the KAMARIKUTAN PAGDIWATA FESTIVAL 2004, more films will be programmed for the rest of the week.

The decision to ship more films to Puerto Prinsesa City, Palawan was made by festival director, Elvert de la Cruz Banares who is in attendance for the six-day festival.  Kamarikutan Pagdiwata Festival Director Dinggot Conde-Prieto was pleased of Banares' decision to add more programs for the festival.

Meanwhile audiences cheered to the films screened during the first night open-air screenings at Dap-Ay, Kamarikutan Kape at Galeri.  Films that opened the festival tour were those by Filmmaker in Focus Jonah A. Lim and Discovery Filmmaker for 2004, Manny Montelibano.  Montelibano's works were all in Hiligaynon and wowed audiences - almost 40% of them were Ilonggos.

Among the festival attendees is visual artist Alma Urduja Quinto who said that "Ang galing ng mga gawa ni Manny!" (Manny's works are great!).  Alma is also a festival guest at Kamarikutan to give a Creative Arts Workshop.

Other guests included musician Mike 'Mitu' Tupas (who scored one of Montelibano's works); writer John Iremil Teodoro (who will launch his new book); and, installation artist Kawayan De Guia.

Curators Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Patrick Flores and Alfredo Juan Aquilizan (one of the six-member International Jury of eKsperim[E]nto) are also in Kamaritan for the opening of the Sungduan 3 national travelling exhibit.

Photos of the film screenings will soon be posted here. All eKsperim[E]nto Screenings are
