PRELIMINARY JURY

ELVERTdelaCruzBANARES Chairman

Filmmaker, multi-media artist and curator, he is the co-founder and festival director of the eKsperim[E]nto Film & Video Festival. He has 3 short films (in 16mm) and more than 25 short videos to his credit. He has screened his works in Japan, Australia, Canada, Spain, Singapore, United States and in many cities in the Philippines. He has exhibited his artworks and installations at the GSIS Museum & Gallery, Museo Pambata, Metropolitan Museum of Manila among others. He is a three-time Gawad CCP Winner for Independent Film & Video. Also an educator, he is a lecturer at the De La Salle University - College of St. Benilde and has taught in three other universities in Metro Manila. A consistent supporter of the independent film circuit, he sits as a member of the Committee on Cinema and the Cinema Program, both of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. He once served as a Board Member of the now defunct Film Development Foundation of the Philippines. In 2003, he was invited to curate first-time Filipino Programs for Out On Screen: Vancouver Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the Antimatter Underground Film & Video Festival in Victoria, Canada.

NERISSAPICADIZO

An AB Sociology graduate from UST, Nerissa Picadizo has worked extensively in various film, TV and theater productions. She has been involved in organizing film festivals in the last four years. Helming the
Philippine Section of Cinemanila International Film Festival for three years and currently serving as the
Deputy Festival Director of eKsperim[E]nto Film & Video Festival for two years in a row, Picadizo is also a
member of the programming committee of �Pelikula at Titus Brandsma�, a film club based in Quezon City, Philippines. She directed, wrote and produced the semi-autobiographical film �Stressful X� and has directed an �Orientation Video� for the Ateneo Graduate School of Business of the Ateneo de Manila University which includes a period piece segment on the life of St. Ignatius Loyola. To date, she is in pre-production on her new film, �Unconditional�.

ELMOAbayaREDRICO

An artist and musician who's known to the circle as a film enthusiast, he has worked for the Cinemanila International Film Festival for the past three years and have been very active in programming film and video screenings all over Metro Manila. He is a member of the theater group PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Arts) and he is one of the key organizers and programmers of the "Pelikula at Titus Brandsma" at the Titus Brandsma Center. He is also an actor in many independent films, appearing in films like "Piso 2 Piso" by Dennis Empalmado; "Stressful X" and many others. He currently helps as a Coordinating Officer of the eKsperim[E]nto Film and Video Festival.

SUNNYCOMPLETO

Sunny Completo graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman majoring in Theater Arts. She has been involved in making independent short films as production designer and production coordinator. She has recently attended major workshops in Production Design and Lighting at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and she intends to translate her learnings through more independent and/or digital video works. She is currently a Project Coordinator of the Cinema Values Reorienation Program of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts where she also helps program films and videos for the NCCA-CVRP Film Club.

ROSSWILHILARIO

Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce major in Management Information Systems at the University of St. La Salle, Bacolod City, he has taken units in Film Production and Director's Apprenticeship. He has worked in selected full-length film and TV productions, working under director Erik Matti. He was script supervisor and Continuity Director for "Prosti"; Crowd Director for "Dos Ekis"; and the Art Director for the regional TV drama "Hulog Sang Langit". He has also acted in many theater productions including "Sa Likod Sang Damgo"; "Bispiras ng Kalayaan"; "Sandugo"; and, "Crossroads On Tour". He has directed a few local plays and independent videos.

ERIKTorreOVIEDO

Erik Torre Oviedo is a Mass Communication graduate of the Lyceum of the Philippines where he started his interest in independent films. He is a professional editor for TV Networks in the country and other independent videos. He has edited shows for GMA 7 Network including the acclaimed documentart series "I-Witness"; "Magpakailangan"; "Starstruck"; "SOP"; and the game show "K! The 1Million Peso Videoke Challenge".
