Quotes:

“There are plenty of teams in every sport that have great players and never win titles. Most of the time, those players aren't willing to sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” – Michael Jordan

Who in the world would not know the man wearing that Jersey 23?

Young and old alike, whether basketball fanatics or not, have been in praise of the Jump Man! MJ was very instrumental in making NBA more appealing.  His credits is a surefire long list of NBA Championships, MVP awards, scoring and defensive player titles, awesome slam dunks, and a lot more!

The space would not be enough to put all the acclaims of His Airness, but to cap it all, he has been a legendary Basketball Superstar and a renowned celebrity, being ESPN’s greatest athlete of the century and one of the greatest players in the NBA history. He’s the kind of player every basketball kid wants to become and everybody else adores!

"Coach did put a challenge out there for me to be more active on defense, to be more aware. I know I'm a good defender. At times, I just take a rest. So he put a challenge on me not to take a rest." - Dwyane Wade

And as everybody wants to BE LIKE MIKE… millions and millions are in awe dreams to be the next Jordan. But only one seems to be, (as Dan Wetzel puts it)… the AIR APPARENT.

Is he really THE ONE? Is the long search really over? It’s certainly very hard to find one who can meet the high-flying standards of the Jump Man.

Now, all eyes are on the NBA’s 2006 MVP and Miami Heat’s championship star, Dwyane Wade.

He was just one of those kids who religiously watched MJ and his astounding hard court performances. The young Wade held dear that jersey, numbered 23. At the age of nine, he was attuned to the very first Chicago Bulls Championship. Wade would later rush to his backyard, do the Jordan moves but he couldn’t do it. But that was years and years ago.

Now at 24 in his young 3-year pro-career, he’s now being admired for his own moves. Wade led the Heat to its very first championship against the Mavs on Game 6, 95-92. He had the will to win. During the finals, he had the shooting points, rebounds, assists, field goals, overtime free throws that apparently portrayed Jordan’s legendary plays. He’s the main man on every aspect… on offense, on defense and on the winning moments!

Even more, he is described by his colleagues as someone who has the unselfish winning spirit. He does not imbibe the superstar factor being labeled on him. He gained the respect of the veterans. They have trusted him that he was all about winning as Heat Coach Pat Riley attested.

Wade has still a lot to go. But if he sustains the winning spirit and keeps on getting better, then perhaps he can really be the Air Apparent!

MJ himself told that most of the time, great players aren't willing to
sacrifice for the greater good of the team, good thing Wade is part of the other side and now he stands out!

He dreamt of being Jordan, his greatest role model as an athlete. Now his turn, more and more are dreaming to be like Wade.

On Performance:

“I put it on my shoulders at the end. I tried to make some plays. I went through a tough stretch but my teammates gave me confidence. ... At the end I was in a zone. I haven't been in one of those all year. It feels good to finally get one.”

On Product-Line

“Once you wear something you're comfortable with and you play well, you're going to do it again. I needed a different look personally. Then once I wore it, I liked it. Now I've got Shaq wearing it.”

“The one thing I love about my signature performance shoe is that it's great on the court, but it also looks good with a pair of jeans.”
