SLAVE I AND SLAVE II

SLAVE I

Slave I is a highly modified Kuat Firespray-class patrol and attack ship originally designed for planetary law enforcement and interdiction duty. Fett has rebuilt this outdated vessel to be the perfect Bounty Hunting ship. Unique in its design, very little of the original Firespray-31 that forms Slave-I remains.

The Slave I is faster than the Millennium Falcon in hyperspace, has a high-tech navicomputer, 3-D maps of all the known systems, and is extremely maneuverable.

Slave I appears to bear only a pair of twin-mounted blaster cannons on the tip of the command/cargo section but most of the weapons on the ship are hidden from view. The ship is armed with rotating twin blaster cannons, a concealed forward firing concussion missile launcher and ion cannon, a pair of turreted proton-torpedo launchers, and a tractor beam also mounted on a turret. The ship has several hidden weapons systems, a dedicated sensor masking and tracking system, interior prisoner cages, reinforced armor plating, and powerful shield generators.

Slave I has an unusual aspect: it lands with its engines down, and in flight, it flies effectively "standing up." The Slave I has been stripped down for speed and two-thirds of Slave I's interior is dedicated to the powerful Kuat Engineering Systems F-31 drive engines and the four Kuat X-F-16 power generators, giving Slave I the speed of an Alliance Y-wing fighter.

Slave I's engines have been modified for speed. The Kuat Systems Engineering F-31 sublight engines provide an intense burst of power when first activated. This reduces maneuverability but increases the likelihood of Fett's capturing his quarry before it can escape. These are pared with four KSE X-F-16 power generators to provide that burst of speed. The ship's hyperdrive has also been updated, allowing for quick jumps to and from hyperspace.

Slave I's interior sections are cramped, containing only enough room for Fett's living quarters, his equipment locker, and the six prisoner cages, which include a contraband Force cage to contain Force-using individuals. All the cages are reinforced to keep the cages from being jostled by larger races.

Slave I has a six-month food supply for its single occupant, Boba Fett. The ship still has a cargo capacity of over forty metric tons, even though much of the cargo space has been given over to housing the ship's engines and power generators.

Slave I's outer hull has been reinforced with plating and ray shielding, to compensate for reduced particle shielding. The hull is formed from a magnetically-polarized metal, making it the perfect electromagnetic receptor. This allows the ship to collect magnetic energies from the surrounding space - including the signals and pulses of pursuing ships - and reflect them as so much static. This jams the pursuer's sensors, making Slave I nearly invisible. Boba Fett has also dampened the ship's particle vapor trail to further eliminate proof of its passage.

Slave II

Boba Fett's backup ship, Slave II is a MandalMotors Pursuer-class patrol ship that was popular with Mandalorian police units because it was tough enough to handle pirates but had enough cargo space for standard policing duties. Slave II is essentially a heavy patrol craft with a superior hull and powerful Torplex military-grade shield generators.

Fett has replaced the original engines with Dual Tion Mil/Sce Mil-StarIV Engines which propel Slave II, while three Corellian Engineering x41 manuvering thrusters are mounted in the port-side stabilizer brace. The three thrusters can be individually directed and provide excellent performance, especially for a heavy patrol ship.

Slave II has forward-firing twin blaster cannons and an ion cannon turret. The ship also has a rear-firing proton torpedo launcher with a magazine of six torpedoes.

Like Slave I, Slave II has a sophisticated sensor array system, although the ship at present lacks the stealth systems of Slave I.

Boba Fett has placed five force field-enclosed prisoner cages aboard Slave II. Fett has also installed molecularly reinforced cell walls and gravitic restraints in its' cells.

Slave II was severely damaged over Byss when Boba Fett tried to pursue Han Solo and Salla Zend near the planet. Solo took the Millennium Falcon into a dive toward the planet's surface just as the planet's shield generators kicked on. Slave II hit the shields and glanced off them, ripping off the portside stabilizer and causing massive system damage. Luckily for Fett, the ship's shield generators were at full-power.

Boba Fett drydocked Slave II after this incident, returning to the use of Slave I.
