I see you found my links page without a problem. There is a small sampling of my writing; most of what I have is too old and pathetic for me to ever consider airing to the public. My list of favorite links will be an ongoing process, so be sure to check back once in a while and see what's going on. If you have a site you would like to share, please e-mail me.

Cool Sites:

About
Basically an online library. Anything you need to know about from Aviation to Zoology is somewhere on this site. Type in a topic and a helpful Guide takes you to where you need to go and explains everything. You can even chat with an expert online. Includes links to other site with more information on your particular subject.

Africam
For those of you who would love to take an African safari but cant afford it. Live feed from several cameras around the Sabi Sans Private Game Reserve in South Africa. See lions, elephants, wildebeests, etc. Cameras switch to night vision after sunset.

All Movie
Online movie database. Trying to remember the name of the guy in that movie you saw last night? Wondering what films your favorite director handled way back in the day? All Movies has the answers. Type in any actor/director/ producer and get a full filmography. Or, type in a movie/tv show title to get full credits and background.

All Music
Same idea as All Movie, but for the music world. Type in a song and learn all the people whove performed it and which albums its featured on. Or type in a singer to get a complete list of their tunes. Especially helpful when trying to find out which label a particular singer has signed with.

Amazon
Come on, dont make me explain this one. Buy books here.

Barnes & Noble
Ditto to Amazon. Also has some book discussion guidelines and questions.

Book-A-Minute
Dont have time to read Moby Dick? Get the mega-ultra condensed version here. It reduced War and Peace to three sentences. Dont miss the companion sites featuring sci-fi/fantasy, kids, and classic works. DISCLAIMER: Not a good idea if youve got a book report due the next morning.

BookPage
Handy little site detailing new releases by some of your favorite authors. Also has in-depth interviews, a Q&A forum, book reviews, and the story behind the story on the bestsellers.

Dolen Photography
Whats a website for if not to help friends shamelessly promote themselves and their business? My friend Leigha is a great photographer and has started up her own studio in Colorado. If youre out that way and need a pitchertaker, hire her!

Internet Movie Database
Along the same lines as All Movie, but includes trivia, quotes, and goofs.

Liana's Blog
More friend-promotion. My best friend Liana chatters on about what bugs her.

Liana's MySpace
The only reason this is up here is because I can never remember the address and she sometimes wants me to refer to it. Knock yourselves out.

Liana's Page
We both started our web pages about the same time. Heres a link to hers if youre interested. Shes a travel nut and her pictures are spectacular! BTW, shes starting a restaurant consulting business.

Merriam-Webster Online
Great if youre playing online Scrabble at 3 am and cant find your dictionary. Dictionary, thesaurus, and translating tool all in one. You can sign up for their word of the day feature which e-mails a new word and definition to you every day. Helpful vocabulary booster.

New York Times Bestsellers
Cant get to the NY Times to see what you should be reading? Have no fear; the online version is here.

Reading Group Guides
If youve ever been coerced into leading a book discussion group, this is your lifeline. Hundreds of suggested titles with a brief author bio and the all-important discussion questions. Searchable by author, title, or subject, just to name a few. There are tips on how to have a good discussion and a set of generic questions for when you cant find a guide as well.

SciFan
A godsend for fans of long involved science fiction or fantasy series that have roughly a gazillion books apiece, it tells you which order to read your books in. You can search by series, title, or author.

What's Next?
More generalized version of Sci-Fan, offered by the Kent District Library. Saved my bacon more than a few times.
