Outlook

The Ducks took a significant step back in 2002 thanks to an overrated squad and key injuries. A remodled Auzten stadium was even a dissapointment as the Ducks lost to Arizona State and were blown out by arch nemesis Washington. Head Coach Mike Bellotti reloads with great players on both sides of the ball, however will an influx of talent translate to double digit wins.

Quack!

Sprinter Sammie Parker lines up on the outside and good things happen for the Duck offense. The senior has a chance to be one of the better players in the Pac-Ten, which is quite an honor considering the level of talent at the wideout position.

Kicker Jarod Siegel is the dean of conference kickers and his accurate leg could steal a couple of wins for Bellotti.

The Ducks are on their way to a 70,000 capacity facility and have solidified themselves as a top-25 program. Phil Knight's investments on campus have become measuring sticks for the health of rival programs.

Quack?

Two true football talents, Linebacker Kevin Mitchell and DL Igor Olshansky, anchor an underachieving defense. As good as the duo is, the overall unit could not stop anybody and some teams are still racking up the yardage.

Will Bellotti's experiment with the two-headed quarterback work? Oregon enjoyed mild success from a similar situation in 1998.
