Friday April 28, 2000 After work, Salina, Mark and I drove down to Washington DC for Paul Frontczak's wedding. We met Cindy and her friend Alex at a bar and proceeded to enjoy the weekend. We went back to the hotel and prepared for the next day but not before Mark and I sat and talked/smoked a butt in the lobby with a few people.
Saturday April 29, 2000 Leaving for the wedding, there were autograph hounds outside the St. Regis Hotel. The wedding was outside of town in a very nice church with ideal (aka perfect) weather conditions. I also got to see Jen Trinh, and old friend from High League and her friend Chris. Went back to the hotel for the reception and danced our feet off. Afterwards, we walk into the lobby to see Ellen DeGenerous, Anne Heche, George Michael, Cathy Ngeme and the girls Mark and I were talking with the night earlier - turns out to be Laura Dern! We post gamed at a local bar and had a blast with Burnsy, Howe, Paul and a bunch of others. But after a long day of checking out the Lincoln Memorial, Washington and Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Smithsonian, Museum of Natural History and the AIDS quilt, we went and crashed. Oh, Cindy shaving creamed Mark and Salina. Also went to a Medicinal Marijuana March/gathering. Sunday April 30, 2000 Salina, Mark and I continued to check out the town and hit the National Art Gallery as well as the Museum of Natural History. Friday May 5, 2000 Cinco de Mayo!!! Got all dressed up to get people to go to the city but unfortunately everyone was beat or going to Hoboken. So I had a Margarita, a Corona and headed home for some R&R. Saturday May 6, 2000 Went and found a great Disk Golf course in Mt. Kisco, NY. Played a round and went home. Later went to Lisa Hook's for a BBQ. She got some rather incredible burgers from some private ranch in Wyoming, Malizia and Stoler showed up with a bunch of beer and we feasted. Also in attendance: Stiles, Mara, Merritt, Snider and later some friends of Lisa's. Had a great time! Sunday May 7, 2000 Went to Brunch at the MB&G with Snider, Garbs and Hooks. I couldn't handle doing nothing in the perfect weather so I called up my cousin to see if we could hang out by his pool. No sooner did we arrive that margaritas and an assortment of snacks/hors d'oevres were given to us. Hospitality at its best 2 days in a row. Hung out and just relaxed. Drove home into a great lightning storm. Saweet!

Thursday May 10, 2000 My friend Jeff Kilgore (Neutronic Sod) was able to get me on the guest list for the ULU/Mickey Hart band gig at Irving Plaza. So we went over after a few Sierra Nevadas and a listen to Farmhouse and some other great music he is getting from working for Play-J. Ulu sounded great, got to talk to them before hand and even got a quick hello to Vince Welnick from the Tubes and the Grateful Dead. Very cool to see the old Dead drum sets and storage boxes! Split early and went to play pool (awful display!) and then off to some bar/private party for Play-J employees. A very cool bar, Jeff's friend Mindy (super cute) showed up and we proceeded to drink Tequila and beers. Pretty rough. I stumbled to the PATH train desperately hoping to make the last train to Allendale. Made the train but passed out, missed my stop and ended up in Suffern at 1:45 in the morning. Luckily, my friend Audra from SCI and Harriman was also there. She had gone to the Ulu/Mickey Hart gig and was kind enough to only make fun of me a little AND give me a ride home. Thanks again! Friday May 12 Bryan Garbutt's wedding. After a shotty day of work, got ppicked up in Montclair by the folks and went to the wedding reception. The wedding was great fun, got to see some old neighbors and family friends. Went home kinda early. The bridal party looked great and had a blast overall - but the food. Mmmm except for the salad. Saturday May 13 Woke up late and then went to Mt. Kisco (hey, look to the left) to play disk golf with Alicia and Chuck. What a great day for it. Then on to Sea Girt with Bryce, Amy, Trae and Megan. We later met up with Polizzi, Mike Altman, Calabrese, Salina and Bounassi! A great night of partying that involved bad Elios burns and much fun and frenzy. Sunday May 14 Mother's Day! Got back home early and did some outdoor work for mom. Also took a nap on the lawn with the dogs and later dinner with the fam. A mini gathering at the G provided us with the first and most unexpected sponsor of the Scavenger Hunt coming from Sky Dive Jersey Shore. A great weekend minus taking a chunk out of my right big toe while doing housework outside barefoot. |
