Happy Birthday Chris DeGaetano!!! Despite Chris' attempts (I found this out from his girlfriend on the PATH this morning) to avoid going to the G, ended up there anyway. I'm telling you the place is freaky like that. Anyway, a large group that consisted of Jen and Trae, Snider, Amy, Bryce, Caryn, Cindy, Danielle, Megan, Erin Connelly, Tara Valenta, Pete, Eric Fox !!!, Chris Holodny, Pat, myself and Polombo opted for the other Kunisch establishment - the MB&G, A nice change of pace as far as food options go. The conversations ranged from various topics as usual and then people started to fade. Long week or not, we picked up the pace and decided to head on over to the AB&G. We couldn't help it. I teetered off after about and hour or so but others went on to the Junkyard where Caryn and (a timid?) Danielle grinded the band (something someone and the Jerks) on stage. Staying out until all hours - I heard a lot of people were hurtin' the next morning. Ha!
Friday April 7, 2000
Neutronic Sod played at Finally Fred's in the city. Without mentioning any names, some people bailed out on the invite for another appealing adventure - a trip to Kenny's beach house. Apparently Jen and Trae kept up with Kenny all night while Pete put on a skirt early on. They went to some bar and had one shot-filled night. I, on the other hand, got smashed with Chris Ulicki, his girlfriend Trish and my pilot, Megan listening with a jam packed local bar, the Superooze (that's their word) courtesy of Neutronic Sod. A great show with some fun people. Stopped off for some great pizza on the way home.
Saturday April 8, 2000
Well, was supposed to go to Twilo AGAIN, but as things go, plans failed to materialize. So I sat by myself for an hour at the G, dressed for the city feelng like a schlep. Fortunately, Caryn, Dani, Jen Thompson and friend Lara showed up. Sat with them (and later Pete) had some cucumbers and Captain and Cokes and in general had a great time. Golf earlier in the day was a great time as well making for a fulfilling Saturday.
Sunday Aprl 9, 2000
Brunch was back! Amy, Bryce, Snider, Megan, Dani, me, and Pat sat down for some Beef Broth, er, Bloody Mary's and some eatin'. Good time with way too many laughs that kept Snider rolling. Later that day we collectively and seperately did nothing productive. Watching movies, etc. Then off to Amy's for the Soprano's Finale Partay. Everyone showed up with long-time no shows, Mark and Jim as well as a cameo appearance by Grant Tenbekjian. A good show that of course found us at the G after-wards.

Well, I was in no mood to go out tonight, but of course I ran with it. It was a low key night as far as attendance an honestly, I should never have gone out. Weekend plans started to get difficult or should I just say things got more complicated than it needed to be. Basically my weekend plans got ruined by someone. We'll leave that person nameless. Anyway, it got really weird at the G but found solace in dear friends, notable Bryce and Snider who were made aware of a particular situation. Yawn. My life is boring. Moving on...

I went to see Bela Fleck and David Grisman as well as their respective band
mates. Ran into Evan Jackowitz at the show, an old Highlander friend who I haven't seen in months. The First set, Grisman and gang, were phenomenal. Then, to make matters worse, at set break I see an old "friend" who I'd have much happier to avoid/not see. Whatever. After the show I stopped off at the G needing drink. Megan, Jen, Amy and Dani were holding down the fort like true veterans. Amy was irie alright. Left soon after and hit the much needed bed.
Saturday April 15, 2000
Went over to Amy's where Snider was outside sinking baskets and Dani and Amy still waking up/cleaning up. Shot some hoops with Snides and Dani then went to the StateLine Diner for rotten bacon, canteloupe, bagels and chicken parm fajitas. Should have passed but whatever. Things got crazier, I got moodier over a decision I really didn't want to think about and then went home to nap it off. Plans got cancelled, I ate at Mt. Valley and then arrived to see my friends from LBI waiting at my house. Turning out to be good afterall. We went to the Elbow Room for Sod, partied like rock stars then back home. Not sure what everyone else did, except Bryce who went to see Galactic 3 hours earlier than anticipated with Trae.
Sunday April 16, 2000
Brunch! In attendance: Stiles!!!(long time chika), Snider, Cindy, Amy, Bryce, my friends from LBI, and Megan. Bloody Mary's and Jager. Ah, breakfast of champs. Then on to other drinks and more food. Garbs and I went home, as did Amy and most everyone else except for Bryce and Snider. Apparently Snider was there from 11:00a until 8:00p or so. Bryce managed to top that by staying (courtesy of rolls) until 11pm! Not sure how but apparently a ride on a Harley with Biker chicks, taking photos of patrons and saying he was with the Town Journal and numerous alcohol and wait staff changes aided in his ability to achieve the impossible...a full day at the G. I can't imagine waking up after that. I left early that night. Was not myself, but a walk home cleared me up. What will this week bring us?
