HISTORY

               A temporary home where unwanted, maltreated, orphaned, abused, streetchildren, child labor and incest victims, abandoned, and indigent ones are given special care and love so that they may develop among themselves respect for life, dignity and work to attain self-sufficiency. At the same time to develop a Christian community of youth through deepening of faith and spirituality, enjoins in bringing the less fortunate children more closer to Christ planned life.

1. To help in the development of Christian community of streetchildren which are left untaken cared of due to injustices and cruelty of a society affluence of poverty.

2. To promote general welfare and well-being of the children under our care.

3. To teach them the importance of God and His teaching, for the formation of right conscience and the true values in life.

4. To encourage people in the community to give concern and assistance to these less fortunate children of God.

               Nazareth Home for Street-children was established on Oct. 25, 1995 by Bishop Cirilo R. Almario, Jr., D.D. Bishop Emeritus of Malolos and Sisters of the Divine shepherd, a religious congregation governed by Mo. Ma. Fatima R. Senarillos, SDS, Mother Superior. This center-base project is located in the Diocese of Malolos, at 1 5 Kabihasnan St., Caniogan, Malolos, Bulacan. The institution's clienteles are: streetchildren, orphaned, abandoned, maltreated, neglected, unwanted, abused, child labor and incest victims and the indigent ones. Age ranges between 4 to 15 with or without parents or guardians.

GOALS

1. To provide them with activities that center around the home where love, care and respect for his fellow child is demonstrated.

2. To guide their total human development through value formation session and formal or non-formal education.

3. To develop their skills, through house keeping kitchen duties, art and vocational courses, group activities designed towards the development of relationship, problem solving, decision making, leadership and self-identity.

4. To provide socio-cultural and sport activities and to content work camp, educational field trips for the children's growth and development.
