Venus

I adopted Venus and her 1995 calf Cupid on the 20th of June 2000. Venus is a highly recognizable whale that's frequently seen in Hervey Bay during the whale watching season. She has two dots on the top left-hand side of her flukes and is often seen feeding in a fluke up position. Venus is a very unique mother in that she had three babies in a row from 1997 to 1999. I saw her on my maiden trip to Hervey Bay in 1998 with her then new calf Cherub. She is also very unique in that she feed her calves in a fluke up position. For more information of this unique whale, please refer to the Venus and Cupid page at the Oceania Project website.
