Meredith's Journal
Movie Time
May has been a very happening month around here. Meredith gets closer to crawling every day. She now does about two "steps" with her knees before she stops. Otherwise, there is a lot of rolling and pivetting going on. And yet, sometimes Meredith signals that she will just bypass crawling and start walking. She can pull herself up to a standing position (namely in her crib) all by herself. Meredith seems to prefer standing to any other position. Her parents believe she wants to keep an eye on everything.
Last week, Meredith accompanied her parents to Oklahoma to attend her Uncle David's graduation from Tulsa University. After the graduation, Meredith spent a few days visitting her grandparents (and great-grandparents) in Springfield, Missouri. In Springfield, Meredith began to show she knows how to wave and clap her hands. Oftern she interchanges them. So when someone enters the room, she claps her hands for them. It's quite a welcome to be given an ovation just for entering the room!
Also in Springfield, Meredith finally got her first tooth--and is it ever sharp! Within two days, her second tooth followed (both teeth bottom center). The teeth have seemed to improve her Cherrios eaten skills. Her teeth have also caused Meredith to give a little whistle every once in a while.
