2002 Visit to the Philippines |

Thursday, 9th January 2003 - Here are photos of the start of the ' feed the children project' thanks to the Rotaract Club of the University of Wollongong we have been able to start this project - their donation will keep it going for about 12 weeks,
(this relates in Australian Dollars to .20cents per child per day) this of
course is the absolute bare minimum,so ongoing support will be sought to
continue this fabulous program. When enough ongoing funds are available we
want to supply milk (we are thinking along the lines of powdered milk to
conserve money)

Being in the pre school while the feed the children program was taking
place was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so thankful that I was
there. Please take a look at the photos of the children, they all said
prayers of thanks for what they were about the receive. |

The hut is being steadily rebuilt and the family will eventually have a
great new waterproof home, this will save the children getting pneumonia
all the time. Lola (grandmother in Viysian) is doing the nipa on the roof,
this is mainly done by the women as they are better at tieing the nipa
together. |
