2002 Visit to the Philippines |

Tuesday, 7th January 2003 - The smile of the ward girl is the little girl who Dr Peter operated on in our first Interplast mission to Bohol in August 2001. She had her right
arm fused to her body. Dr Peter removed it, she actually lifted her hand
over her shoulder and fully extended her arm, which bought tears to Daves
and my eyes. Sure she has terrible scaring but as her mother who is a fish
monger (in the Ubay fish Markets) said, "She now has mobility, which she
would never have had, praise to the Interplast Doctors" We found out that
her younger sister knocked an oil lamp over her, which set fire to her.
