1 ¶And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children
of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate
themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto
the LORD: 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink,
and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink,
neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes,
or dried. 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing
that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.
5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor
come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he
separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let
the locks of the hair of his head grow. 6 All the days that he separateth
himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body. 7 He shall
not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for
his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration
of his God is upon his head. 8 All the days of his separation he
is holy unto the LORD. 9 And if any man die very suddenly by him,
and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall
shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall
he shave it. 10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles,
or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation: 11 And the priest shall offer the one for a
sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement
for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head
that same day. 12 And he shall consecrate unto the LORD the days
of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for
a trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost,
because his separation was defiled. 13 And this is the law of the
Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall
be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
14 And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of
the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe
lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one
ram without blemish for peace offerings, 15 And a basket of unleavened
bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened
bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink
offerings. 16 And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and
shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering: 17 And he
shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the
LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer
also his meat offering, and his drink offering. 18 And the Nazarite
shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his
separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice
of the peace offerings. 19 And the priest shall take the sodden
shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket,
and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the
Nazarite, after the hair of his separation is shaven: 20 And the
priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD: this
is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder:
and after that the Nazarite may drink wine. 21 This is the law of
the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for
his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to
the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
22 ¶And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto Aaron and
unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children
of Israel, saying unto them, 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto
thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee
peace. 27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel;
and I will bless them.

1 ¶My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to
thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy
neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou
find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths.
7 ¶Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from
evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of
all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,
and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. 11 My son, despise
not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the
son in whom he delighteth.
13 ¶Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth
understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise
of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15 She is more precious
than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be
compared unto her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in
her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that
lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. 19
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath
he established the heavens. 20 By his knowledge the depths are broken
up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 ¶My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom
and discretion: 22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace
to thy neck. 23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy
foot shall not stumble. 24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not
be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the
wicked, when it cometh. 26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence,
and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
27 ¶Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in
the power of thine hand to do it. 28 Say not unto thy neighbour,
Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it
by thee. 29 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth
securely by thee. 30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he
have done thee no harm. 31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose
none of his ways. 32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD:
but his secret is with the righteous. 33 The curse of the LORD is
in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the
just. 34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto
the lowly. 35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the
promotion of fools.

1 ¶And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich
man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that
he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him,
How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship;
for thou mayest be no longer steward. 3 Then the steward said within
himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship:
I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. 4 I am resolved what to do, that,
when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their
houses. 5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him,
and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? 6 And
he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take
thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. 7 Then said he
to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures
of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done
wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser
than the children of light. 9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves
friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they
may receive you into everlasting habitations. 10 He that is faithful
in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is
unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have
not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to
your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful
in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is
your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will
hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one,
and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 14 And the
Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they
derided him. 15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify
yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which
is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the
kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. 17 And
it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the
law to fail. 18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another,
committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away
from her husband committeth adultery.
19 ¶There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and
fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a
certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of
sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from
the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by
the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was
buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and
seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried
and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that
he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for
I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember
that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise
Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf
fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither
can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said,
I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my
father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify
unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham
saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear
them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto
them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If
they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded,
though one rose from the dead.
