The coastline of Leic-Arrian 4 has seen furious conflict between Imperial and Chaos forces, leaving many of them stained in blood and pitted with craters. Much of the coastal defenses are being rebuild by Chaos forces with extensive bunkers and underground complexes. However this takes time and the completed coastal wall will not be completely finished for another 2 years. Omega Beach is one of the areas which is yet to see full construction and has therefore been selected as a "soft target". |

Attackers Brief - This beach must be secured at all costs. Imperial
shelling has already taken place to weaken the defenders positions and
break their morale. It has also provided craters and cover on the beach
for troops advance. This beach is not thought suitable for vehicle due to the extensive shelling that has taken place by Imperial bombardment. Simultaneous attacks are taking place on other beach heads and you can expect stiff resistance. Enemy artillery support from nearby cliff guns can be expected, though forces have been dispatched to deal with this threat. Defenders Brief - The enemy shelling has stopped and you know they are coming. You are to hold the beach at all cost and slow the enemies advance. Your objective is to buy time for re-enforcements to arrive and crush the enemy. You know they have landed troops on other beaches and behind your lines, so for now you have to fight on your own, without any reserves. You do have the big guns on cliff which can give you supporting fire, but you don't know how long for as they too are under attack. You must make the enemy pay for ever foot of ground in blood of their troops and scrap metal of their vehicles. |

Attackers have a force of 2000 points, with an additional 200 points which may only be used to purchase their landing craft. The attacker may if they wish use some of their 2000 points to purchase landing craft. The attacker uses the revised reserve rule for army arrival, but roll from turn 1. Attacker gets first turn.
Defenders have 1000 points of troops & may spend up to an additional 400 points on any combination of troops or defenses (Tank Traps, Razorwire, Mixed Obstacles).Defenders may call on supportive fire from the Venus Cliffs Battery Tables big guns.
Duration 8 turns + random roll (see rule book page 135)
Special rules - , preliminary bombardment, sustained attack, hidden set-up, Revised Reserve rule, Trenches, Bunkers, Tank Traps, Razorwire, Wire cutters, Mixed Obstacles, Sand banks and dunes, shell craters, Tactical Reserves, Supportive Fire, Victory points.
