So the battle continues, following the Dark forces successes in the last confrontation they now hold the planet of Leic-Arrian 4. However the Imperium has declared that the Leic-Arrian system is to be purged of it's infestations at all costs.
Since their success last year the Dark forces have had time to prepare for the marine and imperial forces arrival, but can this uneasy truce between the forces of Chaos, Orks and Dark Eldar hold? Only time will tell.
Added to this complex web come the Eldar, Necrons, Tau and Tyranids. All have their own reasons for being planet side, all keeping their secrets.
Who will win the second war of Leic-Arrian ?
Will it be the dark forces who already have a strangle hold
on the planet and the system?
Or
Will the forces loyal to the Impirium succeed.
or
Will other alliances be formed ?
Only time will tell.
The 2002 event theme is that of an Imperial invasion of the planet, this being loosely based on the Normandy landings of world war two. There will be a variety of tables mirroring the battles undertaken, form beach landings to paratroop drops behind enemy lines to seize vital bridges and roads.
There are 2 beach landings which will see troops assaulting defended beaches under heavy fire, there is to be one cliff assault where coastal defence guns must be silenced.
Behind the beaches there are 2 special tables where only those forces that may deep strike or infiltrate can appear. These forces must capture a vital crossroads and bridge to prevent enemy troop reinforcements reaching the besieged bridges.
There are also other planned games for those players who may not be allied to one side or the other, details on these will follow in good time.
If time permits there will also be other encounter games taking place between the beach and special tables are forces rush inland or to the coast in the afternoon.
Well that's the overview and I hope you find it interesting, if you have any questions drop me a line. Thanks Rob
Unlike last year the campaign games will take place on Saturday only this year, with the Sunday being spent on friendly games, challenges etc. As always there is to be a Bar-b-que on the Saturday night, of course this is entirely dependent on the UK weather.
