Repairs still to be Completed at Umbaki

Projects

Community Shield Azerbaijan was founded in 2002 by a group of volunteers assisting at the Umbaki Leprosarium in Azerbaijan.

Since then, we have also become involved with a range of other organisations in often desperate need of assistance. Recently, our activities have focussed on,

• Assisting residents of the Rest and Labour Home for Young Invalids
• Joining in the creation of a special Children’s Ward at a Baku Psychiatric Hospital
• Providing Hot Meals for the elderly and disadvantaged of Baku
• Renovating the living quarters of orphans staying at Gizildash College to the south of Baku
• Starting a new project aimed at improving the living conditions of the patients at the Umbaki Leprosarium
• Supporting a Shelter for Street Children in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan
