Mashtaga Psychiatric Hospital

Mashtaga Psychiatric Hospital, situated to the north-east of Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula, is a new project for Community Shield Azerbaijan.

New beds for the hospital

Our first act has been to provide new beds and bed linen for the children's ward at the hospital, thanks to sponsorship from Amec. The beds were constructed by staff and students at Gizildash College, providing them an opportunity to put their woodworking skills to good use, and at market rates.

We are currently investigating a more extensive project in the area, which would involve construction of a school for children resident at the hospital, and in the local area.
