Lokbatan Sanatorium
Lokbatan Sanatorium is situated in the town of Lokbatan, a few miles south of Baku. The sanatorium provides a home to
young children with heart complaints, and consists of two dormitories, washing, medical, and teaching facilities.

The Sanatorium has benefited from some assistance in the late 1990s, but when we first visited, it was obvious that
conditions had deteriorated, and that further support was needed urgently.
Original condition of washing facilities at the Sanatorium
Our first priority was to improve the level of washing and toilet facilities. Thanks to donations from the drilling
rigs Isitglal, and Dada Gorgud courtesy of CDC, we have been able to
renovate the communal washroom and toilets at the Sanatorium.
Through a generous donation from Mr Gideon Donoho, who ran the Prague Marathon in aid of CSA, we have been
able to completely renovate the shower facilities at the Sanatorium also.
