Welcome to Creation Krew

Finally the cheaper items!

While this is items that are cheaper the the first two items they will end up costing you the most. The first item is the most important, records! I have been collecting records since 95 and have about 1,000. While that is a small amount compared to other djs it is allot to me it since it cost me about $8,000.

You don't need to spend that much to get started but the more the better. If your short on cash start out shopping at used record shops, like Rasputin or Amoeba Music. Most used records go for $.50 to $4, and new singles are $5.95 to $10.

The last few items you also need are needles, or cartridges. Good brands are Ortofon(great!), Stanton(very good but can scratch records), and Vestax(never tried them?). Cartridges start at $20 and go to ~$170 for Ortofon's DJS. Another item you need is a storage crate or bag to hold your records, and headphones to que up the records. A bag costs about $40 and good headphones are $30~150. Try to stay away from compact style and get some "closed-ear" type that will allow better listening in loud enviroments.

If you have any questions feel free to send them in.
