If you read my
Making a digital recording then you know
about the Sharp MiniDisc recorder. Personally I think this is the
best deal in electronics. If you shop around you can find it cheaper
but the going price is $180, and this includes a optical recording
cable to record from a digital source (DVD player as example).
When comparing this
recorer to the others in the market you'll find the Sharp to be larger
than the Sony's version. This can be a bother for some but personally
I think that the recorder is small enough. It can fit into your backpack
very easily and still have room for your Third Eye Blind collection.
While the main lcd is not backlit the remote control has a very nice
blue back lighting which is very clear to read. Another great feature
is the rotating dial which speeds up naming your MiniDisc recording,
and track names.
Overall I get great
sound from this recorder/player and haven't had any problems since
I bought it 6 monthes ago. This is a perfect investment for anyone
who wants a quality recording portable player for home.
