[IPNH] Characters

Mine ... All mine!!!

Although many of my characters have passed under the bridge, I do have several in my folder - a couple which I'm not sure that I'll ever play again, but that's ok. I will introduce them to you now ...

Krynn "Longbow" Deepwater - Krynn is my most current character, played in an AD&D adventure captained by Justin. His nickname is well deserved, since he uses his bow (now plural - Bows) most often, and hardly ever touches his two swords. If you haven't guessed, Krynn is a ranger, but a bit of an oddity, because he is a Dwarven ranger. Looking like a typical Dwarf, Krynn likes the company that has grown up around him, and, since J threw me a loop and magically flipped his alignment, will work with them (use them, whatever) to achieve his own ends ... Although, what those are, I'm not quite sure ow He was basically out for adventure, to find out who is behind the destruction of a farm connected with his village, and to get away from his somewhat stifling family (those who met his brother can understand why ;). We'll see what happens ...
Karie Johannson aka Moira the Satyr - Possibly one of my favorite characters ever, Moi actually began as a character I played on WW's New Bremen, which is basically the whole World of Darkness in one chat site. I left because things, especially for changelings, were getting really ... annoying. Anyway, Moi ended up popping back up because Justin wanted to run a changeling chronicle with really souped up characters, and he said it would be ok if I played Moira with all her high stats (you acrue xp just for being online on NB, and I spent a -lot- of time playing). We had lots of fun, even though the chronicle is over - She trained in an army as a special force soldier, became a sorceress, fell in love, perfected the Sarauman hand-movement of death (yeah, Gimmix with Fae at 5!), and got to have fun kicking the crap out of a whole bunch of people, not to mention almost getting killed and having her memory wiped several times. Damn it. Still, lots of fun after all.
Zoe - This is another character that I absolutely love, simply because of the serious indepth background study I did for her. Everyone tortures me about giving this character the longest name in the history of our group - her full name (with titles) is Mambo asogwe Annis Eugenie Madaleine Lucie Elodie Zoe Kwe la Nwa Swiva sa te la Sango, which means she is the Vodun priestess Annis ... Zoe, keeper of dark, servant/temple of the spirit of storms. She is creole, born and bred in New Orleans, an orphan who grew up to serve in one of the most reputable houses of ill repute as a very young woman, served as a spy (like Mata Hari) during the Civil War, and became a follower of Marie Laveau, the Vodun Queen not long after. She was taken in by the Serpents of Light (she was made for a Sabbat chronicle) - her sire was a Vodun high priest, a mentor of Marie's. (I think that Marie Laveau should be one of the Serpents's leaders - many vodun worshippers believe she never truly died, and her crypt has become a vodun shrine. Besides, it would just make sense.)She went to live in Haiti, the heart of Vodun and the 'HQ' of the Serpents and there became a priestess as well as making herself useful to the clan. In recent times, she has become a scion of the Sabbat, one of the members of The Final Heartbeat (aka Insert Pack Name Here) and a peon in the Black Hand. Man, is -she- fun to play!
Darby Cavanaugh aka Speaks-in-Circles - Thank you, BK, for her wonderful Garou name. Darby was created for BK's outcast chronicle, so she's a Ronin Werewolf. She is my first Werewolf character I've ever played, and let me tell you how hard it is to try and play an outcast when you're still learning how the whole system works - it's tough. Thank goodness our storyteller is very patient ;) Darby is actually a curious version of Ronin, she is outcast by choice, not by force. A Theurge Ronin of the Fianna, she left her camp because she could see what she thinks everyone else cannot (or will not), that the Weaver is the true enemy. She has taken leave of her family and tribe because she cannot stand the fact that they are pointlessly throwing themselves at the Wyrm and being slaughtered, so she has taken the role of consciencious objector, and has therefore removed herself from Garou society. A tough, tough choice. Luckily, just before she thought she might go a little crazy (crazier?) from the solitude, her cousin, Marcus Cavanaugh, came along to spend time with her - a kinfolk sent by her father, though he wouldn't admit it, primarily to keep an eye on her. And then a normal, everyday trip to a downtown Denver coffeeshop (yeah, Paris!) went terribly awry ... I hate spiders.
