One night I drifted off to sleep, I dreamed of the fair land. Where friends and family wait up there, Someday to see again. I saw the streets of shining gold, A stream was flowing by. And we all talked together, My family, friends, and I. And Brother Carlos, he was there, A smile was on his face. He said "Let's stand together, And sing Amazing Grace."

There was Elvie, Emma, Grandpa Ken, Gay Chaffins was there, too. And Mom she sure did look to be, A Mother sweet as you! There was Lonnie, Mamaw, Ollie Stepp, And Dad and Uncle Paul. And Troy and Bernice, they were there, The likes I'd never saw. And Ernie Chafins, he walked in, Along with Uncle Jeff. Said, "Mary I called upon the Lord, That night with my last breath."

Although each one was different, One thing remained the same. They all had been to Calvary, And called upon His name. And Carlos stood beside the gate, Just waiting for Marie. And all his children he loved so, He could hardly wait to see. Then I saw Trish with her son Troy, A twinkle in her eye. She took a drink out of the well, That never shall run dry.

And Grandpa Ken let out a shout, Just like he used to do. Sang, "Brother I Love Jesus, And you should love Him too." And when I woke I thought about, That great reunion day. When all the ones that we love so, Shall never go away. And one day Christ will call us home, To where we'll never die. And we'll sit down together, My family, friends, and I.
