Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Shadow later saw the problem with snowboarding upside down.

Intro:
After Sonic Team became third-party, one of their first ported games was Sonic Adventure 2 for Nintendo's GameCube. The game, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, is almost the same as its Dreamcast counterpart, but has a few new extra features and a slight uppage in the graphics department.

Story:
After finding his grandfather's diary, Dr. Eggman found out about a top secret weapon, held by G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nation), the military. After breaking in to find it, Eggman finds the last thing he was expecting - a hedgehog the splitting image of Sonic! This hedgehog, Shadow, proclaimed himself to be the Ultimate Life Form, and instructed the doctor to gather all seven Chaos Emeralds (for a change) and meet him on the space station ARK.

Meanwhile, a more familiar hedgehog is having problems of his own - arrested by GUN for crimes he has not commited, he breaks out and heads for safety. But how long will it be until he meets his twisted counterpart?

The Game:
As well as having the same features of Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle's biggest new feature is the 2 player mode. While the original version had such a mode, Battle's is much more refined, with the extra characters (Amy Rose, Metal Sonic, Chao and Dark Chao Walker, Chaos Zero and Tikal) each having their own moves and playing style instead of just being character skins. New levels are available to duke it out in, and the secondary costumes available change how the characters play.

Also inhanced is the Chao system, with the Chao's stats appearing on screen when you pick them up, and a Little Chao Garden available by linking the game with Sonic Advance, Advance 2 or Pinball Party. A new mode has been added alongside the Chao races, Chao karate! In this mode, your Chao will beat the tar out of opponents to win tournaments.

Check the Sonic Adventure 2 page for other details on the game.
