The 'pop-up favourites on connect' option at the bottom of the 'mIRC favourites' window predictably causes mIRC to display that window every time you connect to a server. For the sake of a quick connection and joining, it's recommended to un-check that option.
After you're done doing that, click "OK" to close the window.
