Keeping up with change has become the challenge for business educators in today's world.
Courses have changed dramatically in the past 10 years.
And, the consensus is that they will continue to change. The need for skilled people in the workplace has changed the focus of necessary requirments for high school diplomas.
Students can now take advanced courses and receive diplomas desinged more to individual interests. Three diplomas are offered at Bland: minimum, recommended, and distinguished.
Students in the recommended and distinguished programs who choose Option II have sequenced courses in Career and Technology that are current.
Courses available in the business area are Business Computer Information Systems I & II, Business Image Management, Automated Accounting, Business Law and Business Communications.
These courses are designed to give students knowledge and skills which can be used now and in the future.
